Oral Presentation Guidelines for Uneatlantico’s postgraduate programs

This page tries to summarize the basic information to prepare and do the oral presentation of a Final Project (FP). Bear in mind that the FP final grade comprises the grade of the Research Report  (80% of the score) and the grade of the oral presentation (20% of the score).

The Final Project’s Oral Presentation is mandatory for some of the university networks. Consult the Panal whether you must comply with this requirement.

Students in Brazil or Angola from other programs who do not have to do an oral presentation but would like to go through the procces regardless -often for official purposes of diploma’s recognition- will be allowed to do an oral presentation. You can find more information about oral presentation for Brazil here, and for Angola here.

Below, there is a description of the entire process and recommendations intended to facilitate the oral presentation and its preparation.

1. Oral presentation initial arrangements

In general, the oral presentation will be done from the student’s country. The Evaluation Committee might follow the event in person or online.

There are two possible arrangements depending on the location and needs of the student: synchronous and asynchronous.

Students can check the option recommended for them in their PANAL, below the section Final Project, after they submit their  first proposal.

1.1. Synchronous Oral Presentation

The synchronous Oral Presentation is the recommended option for those students living in Spain, Brazil or Angola.

The Oral Presentation can be done in person or online. The university facilities and other locations recognized by the university can host these events. Students who cannot travel to those locations, can do  online presentation.

Facilities currently recognized by Uneatlantico:

STUDENTS OF SPANISH NATIONALITY OR RESIDENCE IN SPAIN (Code ES)
  • Univ. Europea del Atlántico (Spain) C/Isabel Torres 21. 39011 Santander, Spain.
  • Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER Spain) Paseo García Faria, 29, 08005 Barcelona, Spain.
  • Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER). Headquarters of the student’s country of residence.

After submission of the Final Report, the FP director will contact the Secretariat of Oral Presentations to arrange the schedule of the event. The Secretariat will contact the student and the Evaluation Committee to confirm the type of presentation (in-person or online) and the earliest available dates. Students will receive all the arrangement information via e-mail.

The date of the Oral Presentation will approximately be arranged between 15 to 30 days after the Final Project submission. In the case a student would need to arrange a later date (over 30 days ) due to travel arrangements or similar, they should warn the Secretariat of Oral Presentations in advance.

1.2. Oral presentation in the Virtual Multipurpose Room (asynchronous)

The asynchronous Oral Presentation in the Virtual Multipurpose Room is recommended to Uneatlantico students who do not live in Spain (in general, students whose student code does not begin with ES).

Access to the Virtual Multipurpose Room will activate automatically in the student’s PANAL once they reach the Final Task: FP Report  Submission.

Students can then access  the Virtual Multipurpose Room via  the icon in PANAL as soon as they feel ready to do the presentation. The Virtual Multipurpose Room does not need previous booking. In the exceptional case that there were too many students connected at the same time, students would be requested to try again after some minutes.
