• The topic should be of interest or have a personal motivation.
• The practical relevance for the professional exercise must be assessed.
• The availability of information needed to justify content must be assessed.
• If it is an empirical study, it should be considered: the availability of the sample and techniques or tools for collecting and processing the data.
• The time and resources (human, material and economic) necessary to carry out the study have to be assessed.
• As well, it should also take into consideration ethical issues, it is important to bear in mind that the fact of performing a investigation is not likely to cause any damage to third parties.

The Secretariat of the FP can guide the student regarding the choosing of the FP’s topic, but it is the student who has to choose the topic.
